Danny Kaye Married Life And Partner Sylvia Fine
Danny Kaye and his former wife Sylvia Fine, married in Fort Lauderdale, on January 3, 1940. Sylvia was not only his partner in life but in business as well.
They both grew up in Brooklyn, living a few blocks apart. But they meet only when they were working on an off-Broadway show in 1939. She was an audition pianist.
Moreover, Danny used to work for her father Samuel Fine, a dentist.

Danny proposed to her via telephone and soon they got married only to be separated 7 years later in 1947 after his alleged affair with Eve Arden.
The couple had a daughter named Dena Kaye who was born on 17 December 1946. Men do tend to cheat on their wives during the pregnancy phase and maybe this is what happened to them as well.
Dena then grew up to become a journalist.
How Did Danny Kaye Die?
Danny Kaye died of heart failure on 3 March 1987. He was aged 76 when he passed away. The reason for heart attack was caused by internal bleeding and complications of hepatitis C.
He had quadruple bypass heart surgery in February 1983 and he contracted hepatitis C from a blood transfusion.

Danny was cremated and his ashes were buried in the foundation of a bench in Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, New York.
On 21 October 1987, the United Nations held a memorial tribute to him at their New York headquarters.
