AN aide has been fired from Senator Ben Cardin's office following the leak of a sex tape filmed in a Senate meeting room.

The office for Cardin released a statement Saturday confirming that junior aide Aidan Maese-Czeropski has been fired and in the same statement it commented on the mortifying event, referring to it as a personnel matter.

Cardin's office added that it will not be making any additional comments on the matter.

The statement from the Maryland Democrat’s office was first obtained by Politico on Saturday.

The leaked video is considered amateur porn and shows two men having sex while one is “on all fours” in the Hart Senate Office Building hearing room in Washington, D.C.

The room is a part of Capitol Hill.

The Hart Senate Office Building hearing room is where major political exchanges have occurred including the Supreme Court nominees, 9/11 Commission meetings, and where Vice President Kamala Harris recently set a new record for the most tie-breaking votes in the Senate.

Maese-Czeropsk made a post on LinkedIn that did not admit or deny the video.

”This has been a difficult time for me, as I have been attacked for who I love to pursue a political agenda,” Maese-Czeropsk said.

“While some of my actions in the past have shown poor judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.

“Any attempts to characterize my actions otherwise are fabricated and I will be exploring what legal options are available to me in these matters."

People in the comments referred to the post as “out of touch” and that the repercussions would be the same for any man or woman along with being gay or not gay.

The U.S. Sun has reached out to Cardin's office for comment.
