Wrestling fans know wrestling isn't real. Odds are many of you reading this are helpfully reminded of that by non-fans every single day. However, while the results of matches might be pre-determined, what happens in that ring is still incredibly dangerous. One wrong move can end a person's career or change someone's life forever. Earlier this year Big E had his neck broken, and he might never wrestle again.
Jason Jordan Hasn't Fully Recovered
E has been incredibly public during his recovery. Someone who hasn't been, and that's entirely his decision, is Jason Jordan. Jordan was in line for a big WrestleMania match more than four years ago, only to be sent home with two months to go. Turns out he needed neck surgery, but he was expected to recover and pick up where he left off.
That still hasn't happened, and it has now reached a point where it seems likely Jordan will never wrestle again. As for an update on how exactly he's doing, Kurt Angle provided the first one for a long time on The Angle Show this week. The gold medalist revealed he had the same surgery as Jordan years ago, but the man who pretended to be his son on WWE TV hasn't recovered in the same way.
"He's Never Gotten Relief"
“He has problems to this day. His motor skills, his hands are on and off all the time. He just can never get right,” Angle revealed. “With me at least I got relief at times. With him, he’s never gotten relief. He has been really struggling with it for years.” Not a good indicator that Jordan will ever be back in the ring, but Angle did confirm the former Tag Team Champion is still working as a producer in WWE.
Angle also confirmed the plan was for he and Jordan to eventually face off at WrestleMania 34. A storyline in which Jordan was revealed to be Angle's illegitimate son was playing out, and it would have ended in a showdown on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The small silver lining here is Angle teamed with Ronda Rousey for her first match in WWE instead at that event, which wound up being one of the best matches on the show.
