Ferguson redshirted his freshman year at Louisiana Tech. He appeared in 12 games with five starts in 2015, totaling 35 tackles and six sacks.

He established the school record for most sacks in a season as a sophomore in 2016, with 14.5.

Ferguson has 38 tackles and seven sacks as a junior in 2017.

The Baltimore Ravens selected Ferguson in the third round (85th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft. 

Ferguson was put on the reserve/NFI list on July 19, 2019, due to hamstring injury. 

 

Ferguson made his NFL debut on September 22, 2019, against the Kansas City Chiefs,  playing 18 plays. 

Two weeks later, he made his first professional tackle against the Pittsburgh Steelers
